Chris Chitsey is a multi-hyphenate, award-winning singer, musician, entertainer, actor, producer, director, entrepreneur and philanthropist. A proud native Texan, Chitsey is the only country artist today to have charted #1 Worldwide Studio Singles across four different decades. With a career built on timeless vocals, Texas-bred authenticity and an unwavering connection to country music fans around the world, Chitsey continues to prove why his name remains one of the most respected in modern country music.

Fresh off a career-defining milestone with his 10th #1 Worldwide Studio Single in February of 2025, Chitsey followed the momentum with “Where Ya Been Girl,” a soul-stirring anthem about timing, destiny and connection, produced by acclaimed Nashville hitmaker D. Scott Miller. Written by two-thirds of the most successful songwriting trio in Nashville history, The Peach Pickers, Rhett Akins and Ben Hayslip, “Where Ya Been Girl” positioned Chitsey once again as an artist capable of blending commercial country excellence with heartfelt, emotionally grounded storytelling.

Now, Chitsey enters one of the most exciting chapters of his career with “Summer Before The Fall,” a powerful trans-Atlantic duet with acclaimed U.K. artist Bee Smith. Produced by D. Scott Miller and released through Clinetel Nashville Records with distribution by SONY/The Orchard, the single showcases a fresh and captivating side of Chitsey’s artistry. Equal parts romantic, nostalgic and cinematic, “Summer Before The Fall” tells the story of lifelong friends standing on the edge of something deeper, capturing that delicate moment when friendship, possibility and love collide.

The duet has quickly become one of the defining releases of Chitsey’s recent catalog, earning strong industry attention and listener support across international platforms. “Summer Before The Fall” was unanimously selected for a spot on the Texas Country Music Association’s Best Texas Country Picks Compilation CD Volume 10 and has also received major award recognition, including a Josie Music Awards nomination for Vocal Event of the Year. The song’s growing acclaim was further cemented when Chitsey and Smith won the World Songwriting Award for Best Music Collaboration, marking a major milestone for both artists and their international creative partnership.

Adding even more excitement to an already remarkable year, Chitsey and Smith traveled to Cancun and Isla Mujeres, Mexico, to film the highly anticipated music video for “Summer Before The Fall.” Set against breathtaking Caribbean backdrops of turquoise waters, white-sand beaches, luxury yachts and unforgettable sunsets, the video brings the song’s story to life in stunning fashion. The international shoot marked a major visual moment for Chitsey, pairing the emotional depth of the song with a sweeping, cinematic experience that captures the beauty, chemistry and magic of the collaboration.

Chitsey made a name for himself on the competitive Texas honky-tonk circuit before graduating to global success in the late 1990s. His smooth, evocative vocals and energetic live performances quickly established him as one of the latest Texas exports to achieve worldwide acclaim. Rooted in the smooth Texas country style, Chris began his music career as a high schooler on the stage of his family’s Bar-B-Q restaurant and entertainment venue in the heart of Austin, Texas. Raised on a steady diet of George Strait, Alan Jackson, Randy Travis, Merle Haggard, Keith Whitley, Charley Pride and Mel Tillis, Chitsey’s future in country music had already taken shape.

After becoming one of the main attractions in Central Texas throughout his college years, Chris inked his first record deal two years into his college career at Southwest Texas State University. His self-titled debut album produced three songs that hit the top spot, including “At A Time Like This,” “John Wayne Rides Again” and “With A Body Like That,” which spent 18 weeks on the CMT and GAC Top 10 Countdown shows. Chris completed his undergraduate degree and went on to earn a master’s degree, all while maintaining focus on his music career.

Chris’ journey in the country music business has been a true testament to the talent, persistence and dedication he brings to the table. His star power, world-class voice and charming personality have earned him the global acclaim that country music fans knew was coming from the beginning. His skill as a commanding and confident entertainer is apparent every time he takes the stage, carrying fans on one of music’s most enjoyable journeys. His versatility is evident in the wide range of singles he has released throughout his career.

Chris is a dreamer, and his highly touted success is more than he ever could have envisioned. After years of working the road, Chris charted his fourth #1 worldwide single, “Lonely In Tucson,” in February of 2015. He followed that with two more #1s, “Superstitious Heart” and “Just Don’t Know It Yet,” further solidifying his place as a consistent force on the international country charts.

The summer of 2023 brought a monumental change to the entire Chris Chitsey organization with a new eight-single record deal on Clinetel Nashville|SONY. The first single and video out of the box, “Last Time I Saw You,” amassed significant praise, landing Chris his seventh #1 worldwide single. Chris then teamed up with a true American icon to kick off 2024. With a knockout video filmed at the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee, the January single release of “Life Is Hard, Whiskey Is Easy” garnered Chris his eighth #1 worldwide single.

The summer of 2024 was another exciting season for Chitsey with the June release of his third single and video from the Clinetel Nashville|SONY deal, “Every Small Town,” a heartfelt tribute to the charm and character of small-town America. Chitsey’s rich vocals painted the perfect picture of life in close-knit communities, resonating with listeners who cherish the simple joys found in every small town across the nation. The music video brought these themes to life with scenic views and heartwarming moments that reflected the song’s celebration of small-town spirit. Chitsey even made a once in a lifetime 200 foot climb to the top of the Navasota, Texas, water tower to shoot a few scenes for the video. “Every Small Town” was also chosen as the theme song for the entertainment reality show “Only In Iola,” which premiered on ROKU and Amazon Fire-equipped devices.

In 2025, Chitsey celebrated another career-defining achievement with his 10th #1 Worldwide Studio Single and Video, “Chasing Taillights,” his fourth Clinetel Nashville|SONY release. Chris also returned for Season 2 of “Only In Iola,” as the Sharboneau family visited him in his own Old Western Town of Los Trece, Texas, for a weekend of memories, music, fun, games, family bonding and the performance of the gospel classic “Softly and Tenderly.”

With “Where Ya Been Girl” and “Summer Before The Fall,” Chitsey continues to expand his already impressive legacy. From chart-topping solo releases to an award-winning international duet, his recent work reflects an artist still evolving, still reaching and still deeply committed to making music that resonates across borders and generations.

Celebrated for his deeply expressive storytelling and genuine connection with his fans, Chitsey continues to bridge the gap between classic and modern country music. Whether on stage, in the recording studio or behind the camera, Chris exudes passion, professionalism and dedication to the country music industry. It is that kind of work ethic, combined with God-given talent and a lifelong love for the craft, that has made Chris Chitsey a timeless success.
